At The Lion Boxing Club and Gym, we are dedicated to providing a welcoming and accessible space for the Bradford community. Our goal is to support individuals of all ages and backgrounds—especially those facing financial, social, or economic barriers—by offering high-quality fitness and boxing facilities.
We believe in the power of sport to transform lives, promoting not only physical fitness but also mental and emotional well-being. Our club is built on the values of inclusion, diversity, and good citizenship, helping members develop confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of community.

Facilities include:
Cardio Vascular Machines ( such as treadmills, walking machines, rowing machines, steps, cross trainer & bike) Large Free weights ares Boxing studio ( high quality punch bags, upper cut bag, speed ball, wall to ceiling ball & 16 feet boxing ring) There will be Women Only Sessions in the coming months to encourage more women to stay healthy in a comfortable environment.
We specialise in functional movements by combining core (midsection), strength (free weights) and cardio workouts that has been found to be the most effective and safest form of exercise with astonishing results. Our research has found that complex Weight Machines are non-functional, neglect smaller stabilizing muscles, more likely to cause injury directly or indirectly, give false sense of strength gain and always in use during peak hours. However our gym is different because the functional movement exercises are:
- Used in everyday activities like walking, lifting.
- Are transferable to other sports like boxing, football, rugby, cricket and golf.
- It makes use of full range of movement.
- Places greater demand on stabilizing muscles with improved balance.
- Less time consuming.
- Allows for endless variation.
The exercise routine at this gym can be used by anybody wanting to get healthier, fitter and stronger including those undergoing rehabilitation.
